Roof inspection without anyone on the roof.

Close-range aerial imagery of your roof, chimney, gutters and upper storeys — captured from the driveway in under an hour. You get every frame, organised by location, with plain notes on anything that looks wrong.

Coverage

What gets documented

  • Shingle, metal and tile surfaces, close enough to see individual damage
  • Ridge, hips, valleys and every penetration
  • Chimney condition, flashing and counter-flashing
  • Vents, boots and pipe collars
  • Gutters, fascia, soffit and drip edge
  • Upper-storey siding, windows and trim
  • Overhead mosaic of the whole roof for the record

Thermal imaging is available as an add-on where moisture intrusion is suspected — see thermal surveys.

When people call us

  • After a storm

North Alabama gets hail and straight-line wind. Documented imagery dated to right after the event is far stronger evidence than photos taken weeks later, and you can send it straight to your adjuster.

  • Before you buy

A home inspector may not walk a steep or wet roof, and their report will say so. Aerial imagery fills exactly that gap while you still have leverage to negotiate.

  • Before you pay a roofer

An independent record of the roof, from someone who does not sell roofs. If a contractor tells you it needs replacing, you have your own evidence either way.

  • Just to know

Roofs age quietly. A baseline survey now means next time you can compare rather than guess.

Common questions

Do you walk on my roof?

No. Nothing touches the roof and no ladder leans on your gutters. That is the point — falls are a leading cause of death in construction, and most roof inspections still start with a ladder.

How long does it take?

Most residential roofs are captured in well under an hour on site. We usually launch from the driveway.

Is this a home inspection?

No. Alabama licenses home inspectors, and a home inspection is a whole-house condition assessment. We document specific structures and hand you imagery and findings. The two work well together.

Will my insurance accept it?

Adjusters generally welcome clear, dated imagery. We document condition; we do not adjust claims or state what a policy covers.

What if the weather is bad?

Rain, fog and high wind ground the aircraft. We reschedule rather than deliver imagery that will not hold up.

Do you quote the repair?

Never. We do not sell roofing work, so there is nothing for us to gain by finding a problem that is not there.
